The perfect camera backpack?

No, there is no such thing.

I own a lot of camera bags, including several backpacks, and it’s starting to become a problem. First there is the small issue that I love bags, obsessively. Second is there I don’t have room to store more bags.

In the best scenario imaginable I would be happy with six bags of which I have found three. Maybe you think that’s a lot but let me explain.

Bag 1

The big sized (25L+) backpack where I can store a lot of gear. It must be easy to travel with and comfortable to wear.

I have found the Ulanzi BP-10 to fit my needs for the moment. A very good bag that still have a couple of minor issues. Watch the video linked below to find out what they are.

Bag 2

A small/medium (14-20L) backpack that holds all the gear I need for a day in a city. It must be comfortable to wear and have at least one pocket to hold a tripod.

The Tarion SP-01 could have been great if the build quality was better and it had more small pockets. I like that it has a camera compartment and a roll-top.

The search continues for a bag like this.

Bag 3

I think I found it. A larger (9-12L) sling bag that where I can store all the gear I need for travelling in a city for example that is comfortable to wear a whole day.

The Tarion TR-S is very, very good for this purpose. Watch the video linked below.

Bag 4

A small sling bag. It must fit inside of the large backpack and should be able to hold an extra lens and some accessories.

The Pgytech OneGo Solo could have been good if it was just a kittle bigger. It is 3L and the 6L version is too big. Why don’t manufacturers make sling bags that are 4-4,5L? I would like one of those…

The search continues for a small sling bag.

Bag 5

This is meant to carry my DJI mini 4 Pro drone with its accessories, that’s it. It should be easy to attach underneath my big backpack (Ulanzi BP10) for easy carry.

So far the the Tarion TZB-S works for me. It’s not perfect but good enough for me to not spend time searching for a replacement.

Bag 6

The hiking bag. I don’t have one yet but I’m looking for one that is comfortable to wear, have a 10-14L camera compartment, storage for food and clothes as well a seat pad. I also need to carry both a tripod and a water bottle or termos.
